Brenda Hall

September 2, 1960 — November 1, 2026

Brenda Hall, a cherished soul with a heart as expansive as the skies, peacefully left this world on November 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the hospital. Born on September 2, 1960, in Newburgh, NY, Brenda was a remarkable woman whose warmth and kindness touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born to Robert and Anna Mickel, Brenda grew up in a nurturing household where family was the cornerstone of life. She carried these values forward, always ensuring those around her felt loved and supported. Her mother, Anna Marie (Meade) Mickel, her brother, Robert Williams Mickel Jr., her sister, Mary Alice Mickel, and her grandson, Lil William, preceded her in death. Brenda is survived by her devoted father, Robert, who instilled in her the strength and compassion she exemplified every day. As a beloved mother, Brenda leaves behind her children Marvin, Jennifer, and Robert, who will forever cherish her guidance and unwavering love. Her legacy of warmth and generosity is carried on through her 14 grandchildren—Arion, Marvin, Zaisha, Jahlil, Jalen, Robert Aka (Fatboy), Jishawn, Jazier, Jazon, Syrianna, Jamorie, Azariah—and three great-grandchildren, who will all miss their adoring grandmother dearly. Brenda's life was enriched by the companionship of her partner, Shaerman Cox. Together for 20 years, they shared a bond that was a source of strength and joy for their family. Brenda was also blessed with the love and support of her siblings, Anna and Irene, and her close friend, Kenneth Lowers. Her circle of family was extended to include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, such as Mary, Ragina, Joleen, Jol Thornton, Tyrone, Daniel, Mary, Anna, Crystal, and Ayres, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Brenda's extraordinary life on November 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Brooks Funeral Home, located at 481 Gidney Ave. It will be a time to share memories and honor a woman whose love and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met. In keeping with Brenda's generous spirit, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory. This gesture will continue her legacy of helping others and supporting causes close to her heart. Brenda Hall's life was a testament to the power of love and family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be cherished forever.
