Brenda Lee Croley (née Holtsclaw), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, in her cherished hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on June 24, 1953, Brenda graced this world with her vivacious spirit and left an indelible mark on all who had the good fortune to know her. A true daughter of Indianapolis, Brenda embraced life with a vibrant personality that was as colorful as it was infectious. Known affectionately for her "stubborn as a bull" tenacity, she carried a youthful zest for life that belied her years. Brenda was a woman of deep kindness, whose laughter could light up a room and whose love for sweet treats was only surpassed by her devotion to her family. Brenda is lovingly remembered by her sons, David Croley, Frank Bertram, Chris Croley, Ricky Croley, Ryan Croley, and Michael Croley. Her family was her world, and she found boundless joy in the presence of her children and grandchildren, who were indeed the light of her life. Brenda was predeceased by her dear husband, Arnold Croley, and her beloved daughters, Trena Croley and Crystal Croley. Though they have gone before her, their spirits continue to guide and inspire her family. Her legacy is one of strength, humor, and unwavering love. Brenda possessed a unique ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met. Her laughter, her stories, and her unwavering support will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. To celebrate Brenda's remarkable life, a Celebration of Life service will be held on May 17, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hummel Park, located at 1500 S Center St., Plainfield, Indiana. As we come together to honor Brenda, let us remember her with smiles and gratitude, cherishing the warmth and love she shared with us all. In this time of sorrow, may her memory be a beacon of comfort and strength to everyone who mourns her passing.
