It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brayden Ray Smith, who left this world on July 18, 2026. Born on September 13, 2002, in Bremer, Washington, Brayden was a father, son, a brother, and a remarkable individual whose life, though brief, left an indelible mark on those who knew and loved him. He grew up in Port Orchard, Washington and Pocatello, Idaho. Brayden was a father first and cherished son of Lisa and Mitchel Smith, and the loving brother to Kevin. His family meant the world to him, and he carried their love with him throughout his life. He also leaves behind his stepfather, who was a part of the close-knit family Brayden belonged to. Brayden served his country with honor as a communications gear technician in the United States Marine Corps. His dedication and commitment to service were unwavering, and he took great pride in his role. Prior to his military service, Brayden worked as a blue-collar worker and farmer, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep respect for the labor that sustains communities. He was a member of the LDS community, where he found a sense of belonging and spiritual guidance. While his interests were varied, Brayden was known for his unique personality and his ability to see the world through a different lens. Though his life faced challenges, his family remembers him for his kind heart and the way he could bring a smile to those around him. In memory of Brayden, his family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring his life and the values he held dear. Brayden's family wishes to share a heartfelt message: "He was in love with his family, finding comfort and connection where he could." As we say goodbye, we hold onto the memories of Brayden's laughter, his dedication, and the love he shared with those he held close. May he find peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
