Brandy Leigh Pope
April 9, 1984 — June 30, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Brandy Leigh Pope, who left this world on June 30, 2026, at the age of 42, surrounded by love at the Robin Johnson Hospice House. Born on April 9, 1984, in Gaston County, Brandy was a beacon of joy and strength to all who knew her. Her life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
Brandy was a beloved daughter to her mother, Debbie Pope Stines, and her husband, Quinten. She shared her infectious spirit with her four cherished children: Jaden Garner, Jacob Garner, Christopher Honeycutt, and Kynzieleigh Honeycutt, who were the center of her universe. She was also a treasured sister to Ashley Lutz, and her husband Justin, as well as Jesse Black and Tracy Clark, and her husband Kevin. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was known as the "fun maker," constantly filling their lives with adventure and love.
A graduate of North Gaston in 2002, Brandy's heart and soul were always drawn to the majestic beauty of the mountains, where she found peace and inspiration. Her love for the mountains was only rivaled by her profound affection for her family, with whom she cherished every moment spent together. Whether it was a simple gathering or a grand celebration, Brandy's presence ensured that smiles were abundant and laughter echoed through the air.
Brandy was predeceased by her grandmother, Brenda Pope, and her uncle, Mike Pope, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in the hereafter. She is survived by her devoted grandfather, Odell Pope, and her dear maw maw, Sue Black, who will forever hold her memory close in their hearts.
A celebration of Brandy's life will be held on July 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring a life that touched so many with its warmth and generosity. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Brandy's spirit of giving and kindness.
As we say goodbye to Brandy, we remember her as a vibrant force of nature, full of love and boundless energy. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will forever dance in the mountains she adored. Rest in peace, dear Brandy, knowing you are loved beyond measure and missed beyond words.
