Brandon Schaefer

February 16, 1985 — July 24, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brandon Schaefer, who left this world on July 24, 2026. Born on February 16, 1985, in the quaint and cheese-laden town of Cheese Curd, Wisconsin, Brandon brought joy, laughter, and an indelible spirit to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Brandon's life was a testament to the power of embracing one's passions and sharing them with others. From his early days, he was known as an avid tinkerer, always enthusiastic about building sheds, and held a special fondness for cheese and jumping off ladders. His love for these simple joys was only eclipsed by his dedication to his family and friends. A devoted husband, Brandon shared his life with his beloved wife, Trishia, who cherished their time together as they explored their shared love for life and peep-themed adventures. His marriage was a testament to the deep bonds of love and friendship that defined Brandon's existence. Brandon's journey of learning was a unique one, as he humorously described it, "The combine carried Branson many miles to and from college to educate himself for rumspringa." Education was important to him, and he strived to learn and grow throughout his life. His commitment to service was evident in his dedicated work at CAMPUS USA CU, where he served dutifully since December 14, 2015. His personality was larger than life, and those who knew him often remarked that the only thing bigger than his shoe size was his personality. Whether providing shade on a sunny day or sharing a hearty laugh, Brandon's presence brought warmth and comfort to those around him. Brandon leaves behind a large and loving family, including his parents, Bryan and Pam, and a host of cherished friends: Ali Abdel-Fattah, Amaury Marrero, Ariel Abreu, Bobby Mitchell, Brandon Vega, Brian Fisher, Chad Breeden, Colin Wheeler, Dakota Jackson, Dan Gotje, David Schleissing, Henry Nelson, Hunter McCall, Jacob Petrovich, Jake Baker, James Roche, Jasmine Bland, Jeff Boone, Joe Buchholz, John McGraw, Josh Zombory, Kerry Hodge, Margaux La Fontaine, Michael Newmans, Mike Ballman, Nicholas Kovacic, Ryan Schoonmaker, Steve Gerling, Tony Whitton, Ty Neukam, Tyler Gould, and Valerie Jones. Each of these individuals holds a special place in Brandon's heart, and his memory will live on through their shared stories and experiences. A service to celebrate Brandon's extraordinary life will be held on July 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at The Cave, specifically in the EP-CAVE-CONFERENCE-ROOM. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his memory and share in the joy he brought to the world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Brandon's generous spirit and his belief in supporting causes close to the heart. Brandon Schaefer will be remembered as a force of nature, a loving husband, a devoted son, and a cherished friend. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him to live life with passion, to love deeply, and to find joy in the simple pleasures. Rest in peace, dear Brandon, and thank you for the laughter, love, and light you brought into our lives.
