Brandon McQueen, a cherished soul, passed away peacefully at the age of 37 on October 8, 2026. Born in Jasper, Alabama, on October 11, 1988, Brandon lived a life rich with love, family, and dedication to his passions, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. Raised by his loving mother, Antronet McQueen, Brandon's life was filled with warmth and support from an early age. He graduated from Leominster High School in 2007 and pursued his love for learning at Lowell Technological Institute, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 2012. His journey in education continued at Penn State University, where he achieved a master's degree in the same field. Brandon's career was as dynamic as his spirit. Beginning with Shell Oil in New Jersey, he went on to build chemical plants worldwide, including a significant tenure with Exxon in Saudi Arabia, where his beloved daughter Lauren was born. His professional accomplishments were numerous, yet it was his role as a math teacher at Embassy Christian Academy and as a math tutor that truly captured his heart. Brandon's love for teaching and his dedication to youth made a lasting impact on countless lives. In 2007, Brandon married the love of his life, Ellie Lockwood, after meeting her at Kingwood United Methodist Church. Their union was one of deep affection and shared joys, characterized by mutual admiration and heartfelt nicknames like "my sweet love" and "honeybunny." Together, they traveled the world, savoring life's moments and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Brandon's family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ellie, his daughter Lauren Lagace, and his sons Cameron, Austin, and Ian. Stepson Todd Gryseels, along with his daughter Leah, and stepson Timothy Gryseels, with his children Hunter and Brenna, also held a special place in his heart. Brandon's family was a testament to love's enduring power, and they will forever cherish his memory. An active member of his community, Brandon served as a deacon and volunteered for VBX at Second Baptist Church. His dedication to service extended beyond his professional life, as he was known for his generosity and compassion. Though his early years were marked by a talent for playing the guitar, it was in the quieter moments of his later life that Brandon truly flourished. He found joy in the company of loved ones, listening intently to their stories and sharing in their laughter. Even as his own world grew quieter, he continued to bring people together, forming connections that will endure beyond his passing. Brandon is survived by his mother, daughters, sons, sisters, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss his presence and the joy he brought into their lives. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Brandon's life.
