Brandon Auburn Lawrence

August 15, 1984 — April 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brandon Auburn Lawrence, who left this world peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of 41. Born on August 15, 1984, in Dallas, Texas, Brandon was a beacon of joy and strength, whose life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering faith. Brandon was the beloved son of Charles and Debbie Lawrence, who nurtured him with love and guidance, instilling in him the virtues that would define his life. His grandmother, Alice Lawrence, predeceased him, leaving behind a legacy of faith that she lovingly passed on to Brandon, introducing him to a relationship with Jesus Christ that provided him with eternal peace and comfort. A proud graduate of Altoona Area High School's class of 2004, Brandon's athletic prowess earned him a full scholarship to the University of Richmond as one of their 15 star athletes. His dedication to sports was evident as he achieved numerous accolades, including three varsity letters in football under Coach Rico and exceptional performances in track and field, where he ran the 100 meters in an impressive 10.8 seconds. His passion for athletics continued during his time at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where he completed his education. Throughout his life, Brandon worked diligently across various roles, from maintenance and landscaping to positions at Altoona Area High School. His work ethic was a true reflection of his character—determined, reliable, and ever-present with a smile. Brandon's vibrant personality was a gift to all who knew him. Known for his big heart and quirky sense of humor, he was often the life of the party, bringing laughter and warmth wherever he went. He also found peace and joy in the quiet moments spent with a fishing rod in hand. In the wake of a life-altering accident that left him quadriplegic, Brandon demonstrated remarkable courage and grace. His journey was supported by dedicated caregivers, with special acknowledgment to head nurse Keisha, whose unwavering care and companionship over the past decade brought comfort and joy to his days. Brandon leaves behind a loving brother, Carlos Lawrence, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who cherished him dearly. While he had no children or grandchildren, the love he shared with his family and friends will echo through generations. A celebration of Brandon's life will be held on May 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Myers/Somers. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring a remarkable life that touched so many. The Lawrence family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support, love, and prayers during this unexpected time. Your kindness has been a source of comfort and strength. As we say farewell to Brandon, we hold onto the memories and the love he shared with us all. May his soul rest in eternal peace, forever embraced by the love of his Savior.
