In Loving Memory

Brandi La'Sherrelle "Starr" Lyons
November 3, 1984 — April 3, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brandi La'Sherrelle "Starr" Lyons, who departed from this world on April 3, 2026, at the age of 41. Brandi was born on November 3, 1984, and graced this earth with her vibrant spirit and boundless love for her family and friends.
Brandi was the cherished daughter of Mr. William Ozell Lyons and the late Mrs. De’Siree Morgan-Lyons. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of love and resilience, shaped by the nurturing care of her parents and the guiding lights of her predeceased grandparents, Mr. Ezra Wansley Sr. and Mrs. Mandy Wansley, as well as Mr. Melvin Lyons and Mrs. Lucille Lyons.
A devoted mother, Brandi's heart found its greatest joy in her children—daughter Jevonia Howse and sons Jordan Lyons and JaShawn Hawkins. Her love for them was unconditional, and her legacy will forever be carried forward in their lives.
Brandi is survived by her loving father, Mr. William Ozell Lyons, who remained a steadfast source of support and strength throughout her life. She leaves behind a tapestry of love woven by her siblings: sister Tanisha Morgan, brother Ramon Morgan, sister Madison Lyons, sister Prenciss Crowder, and sister Octavia Crowder. Her family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Among those who will miss her dearly are her "twin cousin" Martinique McClinton and "bestie cousin" Danotra Moore. Brandi's family extends beyond blood to a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Brandi's life was a celebration of friendship and connection. Her empathetic nature and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She had a unique ability to make people feel seen and heard, and her radiant smile could brighten even the darkest of days.
In accordance with Brandi's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life, allowing her family and close friends to gather in an intimate setting to bid farewell to a remarkable woman who touched so many lives.
As we remember Brandi, let us celebrate the light she brought into the world and the love she shared with all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of those who have gone before her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Brandi's memory, as a tribute to her generous and compassionate spirit.
