In Loving Memory

Boxer the horse
March 8, 2013 — March 4, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Boxer, a noble steed whose life was a testament to unwavering dedication and tireless effort. Boxer departed from us on March 4, 2026, just days shy of his 13th birthday. He was born on March 8, 2013, at Manor Farm in Russia, a place that shaped the early years of his life and instilled in him a spirit of perseverance.
Boxer's journey was one marked by resilience and loyalty. Born to his parents, Box and Er, he was a steadfast and gentle creature who embodied the essence of hard work. Though his life was not without challenges, including being overworked by the tyrant Napoleon, Boxer never wavered in his commitment to his beliefs and duties. His strength was further demonstrated when he bravely fought in the Battle of the Cowshed, a testament to his courage and determination.
Boxer's days were spent under the oppressive regime of Manor Farm, where he endured the trials of slavery, first under Jones's rule and later under Napoleon's tyranny. Despite these hardships, Boxer remained a devoted member of the community, attending Sunday meetings with a humble spirit and an unyielding belief that "Napoleon is always right."
In his leisure, Boxer found solace in work, ever striving to improve himself and the world around him. Though he may not have been the sharpest in mind, his heart was immense, and his drive to better himself was unmatched. His motto, "I will work harder," became a guiding principle that inspired those around him.
Boxer's life, though filled with toil, was not without purpose. His commitment to labor and belief in the farm's leadership, misguided as it may have been, were rooted in a deep desire for a better future for all. He was a symbol of steadfastness and loyalty, qualities that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A service to honor Boxer's life will be held on March 10, 2026, at Ramsey's class, located at 1901 West 15th Street, Edmond, Oklahoma 73013. We invite all who knew Boxer to join us in celebrating the life of this remarkable horse.
Boxer's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish his memory. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the impact one humble soul can have on the world. In a special message from his family, they express their profound sense of loss: "We miss Boxer. BooHoo." Tragically, his life was cut short, and he was turned into glue, a fate unbefitting such a noble creature.
May Boxer gallop freely in the pastures of eternity, forever remembered for his strength, dedication, and indomitable spirit.
