December 20, 1937 — August 9, 2026

Bonny G. Starling, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 20, 1937, in Arp, Texas, Bonny was the cherished son of Bonnie Starling and Bernice Newman. He was blessed with a large and loving family, both by birth and by heart. Bonny's early years were marked by a strong sense of community and faith, having been saved at a young age and attending school in East Texas. He was an energetic young man with a passion for running track, a testament to his vibrant spirit and determination that would carry him through life. A dedicated and hardworking man, Bonny spent over 20 years of his career as a truck driver for Darling International. His work ethic and commitment were evident in all he did, but it was his role as a family man that brought him the most joy and fulfillment. Bonny was a devoted husband to his late wife, Linda G. Starling, and a proud father to his children, Roderick (Debra), Bonny Leonard, and Kathryn, as well as his bonus children, Kim (Michael), Ronald Jr., and Ronda. His legacy is further carried on by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. Bonny's life was rich with activities and interests. He was an avid pool player, known for his skill and competitive spirit, earning numerous trophies in tournaments. He cherished attending his grandchildren's sporting events, always their biggest supporter. His love for the Dallas Cowboys was well-known, and his spirited opinions often sparked lively discussions among friends and family. Bonny also had a passion for cooking, often bringing loved ones together with his culinary creations. His dog, Gracie Pooh, will miss him dearly, as will the many pets he lovingly cared for over the years. Bonny's presence, full of humor, personality, and warmth, touched all who knew him. Bonny was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Linda, and his ten siblings. He leaves behind a large family and countless friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. A service to celebrate Bonny's remarkable life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM at True Believer's Baptist Church, located at 2414 Kilburn Ave., Dallas, TX 75216. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Bonny's generous spirit and commitment to helping others. The family sincerely thanks everyone for their prayers, love, support, presence, and kindness during this time of remembrance. Bonny's legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. With heartfelt gratitude, The White, Agent, & Starling Family
