In Loving Memory
BONNIE J PARADIS
April 21, 1946 — May 24, 2026
In loving memory, we honor the life of Bonnie J. Paradis, a cherished soul who departed this world on May 24, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on April 21, 1946, in Trenton, Tennessee, Bonnie was the beloved daughter of Tate Dumm and Russelene Jones. Her life was a beautiful testament to love, generosity, and enduring spirit.
Bonnie was a devoted wife to Edward Paradis, whom she married on a warm July day in 1981. Together, they shared a blissful union and lovingly raised a family of 11 children until Edward's passing on May 25, 2016. Bonnie's heart overflowed with love for her family, and she remained a guiding light for her sons, stepchildren, nieces, brothers, in-laws, and the generations that followed. Her legacy lives on in her 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who were her pride and joy.
A true entrepreneur at heart, Bonnie dedicated her life to serving others through her work. She found joy in selling Avon products, cleaning houses, and caring for beloved pets through dog and cat sitting. Her business acumen was matched only by her kindness, and she touched the lives of many with her warm smile and outgoing personality.
Bonnie was an avid reader, particularly of mystery novels, and she found solace and inspiration within the pages of her books. Her membership in local reading clubs allowed her to share her passion for literature with like-minded friends. Additionally, she was a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, her enthusiasm for football as spirited as her personality. In quieter moments, Bonnie found joy and creativity in the art of crochet, crafting beautiful pieces that adorned her home and warmed the hearts of those who received them.
A beacon of generosity, Bonnie was known for her immense kindness and unwavering support of her friends and grandchildren. Her life was a testament to the power of love and community, and her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Bonnie is predeceased by her parents, Tate Dumm and Russelene Jones; her sisters, Kate and Shelby; her cherished grandson, Michael; and her beloved husband, Edward Paradis. She is survived by a loving family that includes her sons, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces, brother, and in-laws, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
A service to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the University Heights Methodist Church, located at 1267 Balsam Drive, Decatur, GA 30033. Friends and family are invited to join together in remembering a life well-lived and a spirit that continues to inspire.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bonnie's memory to a charity of your choice, spreading the love and generosity that she embodied throughout her life.
