It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Bonnie Eileen Antwine, who departed this world on June 10, 2026, at the age of 83. Bonnie was born on January 24, 1943, in the small, welcoming town of Tucumcari, New Mexico. She was the cherished daughter of E. Delbert and Jaunnetta Love, who preceded her in death along with her beloved husband, Robert Antwine, her brother Randy Love, and her sister Elaine Tapscott.
Bonnie was a woman of grace and strength, known for her beautiful smile that could light up a room, and a laugh that was as infectious as it was sincere. She graduated from Fountain High School in Colorado Springs in 1960 and pursued higher education with vigor, attending York College in Nebraska before earning an Associate's Degree in computer programming from Texas State Technical Institute.
On July 12, 1963, Bonnie married the love of her life, Robert Antwine, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in December 2020. Together, they built a loving family and a home filled with warmth and laughter. Bonnie is survived by her devoted children, Terry Antwine and wife Connie, Tammy King and husband Jimmie, and Tonja Hester and husband Marc. Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren, Danna Conway, Whitney Bell, Kelsie Bevington, Cody Antwine, Tyler Hester, and Hayden King, and her great-grandchildren, Dylan Conway, Wyatt, Knox, and Warner Bell, Luke, Jack, and Sophie Bevington, Bennett King, and the anticipated arrival of Boston Antwine in September.
A woman of deep faith, Bonnie was a charter member of the Church of Christ at the Colonies and also attended the Central Church of Christ. Her relationship with the Lord was intimate and steadfast, and she shared her faith willingly, offering support and inspiration to those around her. Her kindness, encouragement, and welcoming nature were felt by all who knew her.
Bonnie was an accomplished seamstress, known for her meticulous craftsmanship and her generous spirit. She taught sewing classes and lovingly crafted clothes for her children, as well as countless blankets for family members and charities, embodying her spirit of giving and service to others.
Professionally, Bonnie excelled as a systems analyst at Corporate Systems, where she worked diligently for 21 years before retiring. Her career was marked by dedication and a keen intellect, qualities that earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
The Antwine family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care and support, with special thanks to her nurse, Jasmine, whose kindness was a great comfort in Bonnie's final days.
A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held on July 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ at the Colonies, located at 4500 Wesley Drive, Amarillo, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bonnie's memory to Eastern European Missions, an organization close to her heart.
As we say goodbye to Bonnie, we take solace in the love she spread throughout her life and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. She will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in our cherished memories.
