Bonita J. Manning, a cherished soul whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026. Born on June 11, 1951, Bonita was the beloved daughter of Daisy Mae Rhodes and the late Sam Lewis. Her life was a tapestry of love, joy, and unforgettable memories, woven together by her devotion to family and friends. Bonita's journey through life was marked by her radiant smile, outgoing personality, and a heart full of kindness. She embraced every moment with a sense of adventure, thriving on the joy of travel and the camaraderie of the Biker Community. Her passion for dancing was as infectious as her smile and laughter, and she will be remembered with affection, missed with tenderness, and honored in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was predeceased by her husband, Tim Manning, her father, Sam Lewis, her brother, Craig Bradley I, and her nephew, Craig Bradley II. Bonita's heart was full of love for her family, and her legacy continues through her children, Chalon (Percy) Calicutt, Charhonda Bradley, and Jason (Kaycee) Manning. Her grandchildren, Persia, Taylor, Damian, and MaKenzie, along with her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Tevyn, and Peyten, were the light of her life. Bonita also leaves behind her mother, Daisy Mae Rhodes, her brother, Gerald (LaWanda) Rhodes, her sister, Kathy (Kevin) Woods, her aunt Lura Lee, and a multitude of other cherished family members and friends. Bonita's life was a celebration of love, laughter, and the enduring connections she fostered throughout her years. She will be remembered with affection, missed with tenderness, and honored in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Bonita’s granddaughter, Taylor shares a special poem, echoing her own words: "I'm FREE" Don't grieve for me, for now I'm FREE. I'm following the path God laid for me... I took His hand when I heard Him call I turned my back and left it all... I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play Tasks left undone must stay that way If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch If my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your heart, rejoice with me, God wants me now, He set me FREE."
