Bobby Ray Judice
November 30, 1936 — May 31, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Bobby Ray Judice, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who left this world on May 31, 2026, at the age of 89. Bobby passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family, after a life rich in experiences and devotion to those he held dear.
Born on November 30, 1936, in the charming community of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Bobby was the cherished son of Jack and Hazel Delhomme. He grew up steeped in the values of hard work, loyalty, and kindness—principles he carried with him throughout his life. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Hazel Judice, his son, Bobby Judice Jr., and his brother, Irby Judice, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
Bobby was a man of many hats, both figuratively and quite literally, often endearingly referred to as "Tex" due to his penchant for sporting a cowboy hat and his distinctive stride, a testament to his well-traveled knees. A proud veteran, Bobby served in the Army Reserves for a year, an experience that further solidified his steadfast character and commitment to service.
For four decades, Bobby dedicated his working life to the Kansas City Southern Railroad as a switchman, where his diligence and unwavering work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his career, Bobby was a passionate horseman, sharing a bond with his brother Irby as they trained racehorses, a pastime that brought him immense joy and companionship.
A devout member of Little Flower Church after relocating to Port Arthur, Bobby found solace and community within its welcoming congregation. His faith was a guiding force in his life, providing him comfort and strength through both triumphs and trials.
Bobby's heart belonged to his family, and for 64 wonderful years, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Sandy Judice. Together, they built a legacy of love and resilience, raising two sons, Mark Judice (married to Kim) and Steve Judice (married to JoAnne), who continue to carry forward the values instilled in them by their father.
As a grandfather to four adoring grandchildren—Blake, Brady, Colten, and Bronson (engaged to Fallon Fontenot)—and a great-grandfather to little Merrick, Bobby's legacy of love and laughter will live on in their hearts. His family was his greatest pride, and he cherished every moment spent in their company, sharing stories, watching Westerns, and imparting wisdom.
Bobby leaves behind memories of a life well-lived and a family well-loved. His warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the indelible mark he left on our hearts and the countless ways he enriched our lives.
A remembrance service honoring Bobby Ray Judice will be held at Little Flower Church, where friends and family will gather to pay tribute to a life that was truly a blessing to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity close to Bobby's heart, in support of the passions and values he held dear.
May Bobby rest in peace, his spirit forever watching over those he loved.
