April 6, 1949 — April 4, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and deep respect that we announce the peaceful passing of Bobby L. Roberts, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, on April 4, 2026, just two days shy of his 77th birthday. Born on April 6, 1949, in the tranquil landscapes of Potter County, Texas, Bobby lived a life deeply rooted in love, dedication, and humility. He was a man who embraced every moment with quiet grace and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. Bobby was the cherished son of the late Samuel Boyd Roberts and Jean Castleberry, and he is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Dianne. He is survived by his adoring daughter Cristina Michelle Arnold, her husband Jeff Arnold, and his treasured grandchildren, Jefferson Boyd Arnold and Jessica Cheyenne Arnold. Bobby's love for his family was profound, and his heart found true joy in the achievements and happiness of his grandchildren. His sister, Pamela Lortisch, and her husband Karl, along with his nephew Nick Smithey, many nieces, nephews, friends, and former coworkers, mourn his passing but celebrate the legacy of kindness and dedication he leaves behind. In his professional life, Bobby demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his work and community. He began his career with the Birdville Independent School District (BISD), where he served from 1973 to 1976 and again in 1980. Bobby's steadfast dedication saw him rise through the ranks, from custodian to head custodian, and ultimately to assistant custodial supervisor, before he retired on January 31, 2011. His diligent work ethic ensured that every school under his care was maintained in impeccable condition. His career also spanned roles in grocery stores and at Liberty Carton, where he contributed with the same quiet determination. Beyond his professional endeavors, Bobby was a devoted member of the Haltom City Nazarene Church for many years, where his faith was a guiding light. His love for gospel and old country music, especially the melodies of Tanya Tucker, was known to all who loved him. Bobby had a passion for working on cars and cherished classic vehicles, a testament to his appreciation for craftsmanship and history. Bobby found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was watching his grandchildren excel in Tae Kwon Do, baseball, dance class, and soccer, or spending time with his beloved dachshunds. His gentle spirit and willingness to help others quietly spoke volumes of his character. Though reserved, his warmth and kindness touched many lives, leaving behind a legacy of generosity and compassion. A private funeral ceremony will honor Bobby's life, celebrating the profound impact he had on those he loved and who loved him. Though he has departed from this world, Bobby L. Roberts will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends as a man who lived with integrity, devotion, and a heart full of love for Jesus. Rest in peace, dear Bobby. Your life was a testament to the beauty of quiet strength and boundless love.
