Bobby Best

March 24, 1964 — September 16, 2026

In loving memory of Bobby Best, He was born on March 24, 1964, in Harlem Hospital New York. Bobby peacefully left this world on September 16, 2026, at Monterfiore Hospital, surrounded by the warmth and love of his devoted family: his sisters Dana and Tracy, his cherished niece Treasure, and his brother-in-law Timothy. Bobby was the beloved son of the late Betty Best, who passed away on October 10, 2016, and Julius McCray a father who raised him. He is survived by his loving siblings, one brother Michael Best and three sisters Carolyn, Dana, and Tracy, along with a host of Aunts and Uncles along with nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. A proud alumnus of Bronx Science High School, Bobby earned his GED and went on to achieve his bricklaying license, a testament to his dedication and hard work. His career at Volunteer of America on Wards Island was marked by his unwavering commitment to service and his generous spirit. Bobby was a man of many talents and passions. His love for music was evident in his skillful DJing and voiceovers, where his energetic presence and charismatic voice brought joy to many. He had a natural gift for storytelling, always ready with a joke to brighten someone's day. Bobby's friends and family will remember him as a man with a great heart, ever willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Lisa from Sutton Park Nursing Facility, who cared for Bobby with exceptional kindness and compassion during his final days. Bobby Best will be deeply missed, but his laughter, love, and legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
