Billy Joe Roberson

June 7, 2017 — June 20, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Billy Joe Roberson, fondly known as "Joe" by his loved ones, on June 20, 2026. Billy was born on a warm summer day, June 7, 2017, in the quaint town of Arcadia, Louisiana. His journey through life, though brief, was filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Billy Joe was the beloved son of the late Johnny and Lucille Roberson. He was a devoted brother to Eugene Roberson and Blindie Harris, who have preceded him in death. Their reunion is a comforting thought to those of us who knew and loved Billy deeply. A proud alumnus of Wilmer-Hutchins High School, class of 1972, Billy carried his love for learning and friendship throughout his life. He was a man of simple pleasures, finding immense joy in watching football and engaging in spirited games of dominoes. His home was always filled with the sounds of a cheering crowd or the clatter of dominoes, providing a warm welcome to anyone who visited. Billy's life was marked by his infectious sense of humor and his ever-present smile. A true jokester at heart, he had a remarkable ability to light up any room he entered. His laughter and wit brought immense joy to his family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of happiness and love that will continue to inspire those who knew him. A service to celebrate Billy's life will be held on June 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Lively Funeral Home, located at 1234 Harold Way. We invite all those who knew and loved Billy to join us in remembering and honoring his life. As we say our final goodbyes, the Roberson family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Lively Funeral Home for their special care and support during this difficult time. Their compassion and assistance have been a great comfort to us all. Billy Joe Roberson's spirit will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life lived with joy, laughter, and love. May he rest in peace, embraced by the family who went before him, and remembered fondly by those who remain.
