Billy Fisher

July 9, 1941 — June 24, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Billy Fisher, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on June 24, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on July 9, 1941, in the heart of Tennessee, Billy was the cherished son of Boyd and Elise Fisher. Billy's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and resilience. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Agnes Fisher, with whom he shared many beautiful years. Together, they built a family full of love and laughter, which became Billy's greatest pride and joy. Sadly, he also joins in eternal rest his son, Wayne Fisher, his daughter, Vicki Hudson, his grandson, Casey Weaver, and several siblings who have also taken their journey home before him: his brothers Bobby, Lloyd, Tommy, Hubert, and Paul Fisher, his sister, Bertha Gibson, and several nieces and nephews whom he cherished deeply. Billy's legacy of love and kindness continues through his surviving family members. He is lovingly remembered by his son Billy and wife Andra Fisher, his daughter Wanda and husband Steven Weaver, and his grandchildren Elizabeth, Shane, Christopher, Jonathan, Justin, Amanda, Ashley, Courtney, Corey, and Cason. He was blessed with 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathy Neece and Sue Brookshire, and two brothers, Simon and Dennis Fisher. His extended family includes a very special lady, Shelby Fisher, and dear friends Devon and Linda Whitman, who held a special place in his heart. Billy spent over 30 years working for Allied Food, where his hard work and dedication were well respected. Even after retirement, Billy's restless spirit kept him active as he took up scrapping metal, always staying on the move and finding purpose in every day. Beyond his work, Billy found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, particularly those peaceful moments spent by the fire with his son. He was a man who enjoyed playing cards and was fondly known for trying his luck on the "ding ding machine" at the local convenience store. Above all, Billy treasured the time spent with his family, whose company he valued more than anything else. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at Rome Home Health for the compassion and patience they showed Billy during his final days. Your kindness and care have been a source of comfort in our time of need. Billy Fisher lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his loved ones in a place of peace and eternal sunshine. A celebration of Billy's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the extraordinary man he was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Billy's memory to a charity of your choice, keeping his spirit of giving alive. May his soul rest in peace, surrounded by the love and warmth he bestowed upon others throughout his remarkable life.
