It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved Billie Uvonne Pilgreen Armstrong, who departed this life on October 10, 2026. Born on December 30, 1932, Billie graced this world with her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Billie was born to W.J. Pilgreen and Lois Leola (Campbell), and she was one of their cherished children. She was predeceased by five of her siblings, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories. Billie is survived by her devoted husband, Sammy Ray Armstrong, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage since June 17, 1995, when they wed in Fort Worth, Texas. Billie's life was enriched by her family, including her sons, David Wayne Armstrong and his wife Brenda, and Robert Erwin Armstrong and his wife Rene. She also leaves behind her brother Ralph Pilgreen and his wife Judy, her sister Foncille Ferreira and her husband Ken, and her precious grandchildren, Bob, Brandi, and Chris, along with her great-grandchildren, Nash and Court, who brought her immense joy. Billie pursued her education at a business school in Lubbock, which laid the foundation for her career in clerical and administrative work. Her dedication and work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike. A devoted member of the Irving Baptist Church, Billie found solace and community in her faith. Her creativity shone brightly through her love for ceramics, painting, and macramé, pursuits that brought beauty and joy to those around her. A service to celebrate Billie's remarkable life will be held on October 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Waurika. Following the service, Billie will be laid to rest at the Waurika Cemetery, a place she held dear. In honor of Billie's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. Her compassion and generosity will continue to touch lives through these acts of kindness.
