It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life-well lived that we announce the passing of our beloved William C (Bill) Rogers, who left this world peacefully on March 30, 2026, at the age of 69, due to heart complications. Bill was born on March 18, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, where he began a journey marked by kindness, dedication and an adventurous spirit that touched many lives.
Bill was the cherished son of the late Robert Dale Rogers Sr. and Betty Ann Rogers and brother to the late Bryan Rogers. He grew up in a family that valued love and togetherness, lessons he carried throughout his life. Bill's legacy is lovingly continued by his devoted children; Cindy Skipper and her husband Josh, Carter Rogers, Jason Rogers, and Greg Rogers. He was proud grandfather to Emma and Cole Skipper, who brought immense joy to his days. Bill is also survived by his brothers Bobby Rogers and wife Pat, and Brit Rogers and wife Liz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss his wisdom and humor. In his later years, he found companionship with his partner, Jerryca.
Bill graduated from Azle High School in 1976, where he began laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning and professional accomplishments. In 2006, he earned his A&P license, a testament to his commitment to his personal growth and excellence. Bill's career was marked by a steadfast dedication to his craft, beginning with 27 years at General Dynamics, which later became Lockheed Martin. His skills and expertise took him around the world as he worked with military contractors overseas in Germany, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, South Korea, and returned once more to Germany.
A man of varied interests, Bill found joy in the great outdoors. He loved the serenity of fishing, the challenge of golf, and the exhilaration of riding motorcycles.
Bill's family wishes to extend their appreciation for the love and support received during this difficult time. In accordance with his wishes and the family's desire to celebrate his life, a memorial service to honor Bill's life will be held April 18, 2026 at The Word of Lakeside.
In honoring Bill's memory, we are reminded of his favorite saying, "It's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years." His presence will be deeply missed, but the spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
