Bill's marriage to Viola was a cornerstone of his life, marked by shared dreams and a steadfast commitment to one another.
A proud veteran, Bill served his country with honor in the U.S. Army for four years. During his service, he was awarded the [Metal Type], a testament to his bravery and dedication. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of duty and discipline that he carried throughout his life.

His work was more than a job; it was a journey that allowed him to see the beauty of the landscape he loved so much. Bill's career was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic that left a lasting impression on those he worked with.
In his personal life, Bill was an avid hunter, cherishing the serenity of the outdoors and the camaraderie of friends and family during hunting trips. He was often the first to arrive at the camping spot, ensuring a place for everyone to gather and create memories. His love for nature was matched by his quick wit and endless trove of stories, shared around countless campfires.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his cherished sister Dianne Rohrke; his daughter Stephanie Blackwell and her husband Joe; his son Bill Gibson Jr. and his wife Sylvia; and his beloved grandchildren, Joey and Kimberly Blackwell, and Nolan Gibson.
