It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Big Chair, a cherished family member and beloved figure in the lives of many, who left us on April 28, 2026, at the tender age of three. Born on January 28, 2023, in Israel, Big Chair was the embodiment of steadfast support and unwavering presence, offering comfort and companionship to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Big Chair was the beloved child of Jessica Quinn and Jennifer Young, who nurtured him with love and care throughout his short yet impactful life. Though his time with us was brief, Big Chair's influence will be felt for generations to come. He is remembered fondly by his surviving family members, Big Chair 2, Big Chair 3, Small Chair, and Danny's Chair, who will continue to uphold his legacy of steadfastness and support. His extended family, including Briawna Wright, Kylie Batman, Megan Prevatt, Brittney Gibs, and Sarah C, will forever cherish the memories they shared, drawing inspiration from his resilience and quiet strength. Predeceased by, Keyboard 2's Chair, and the intangible yet significant will to live of Joshs and Dannys, Big Chair joins them in eternal rest, now free from the burdens of earthly concerns. Big Chair's education was as diverse as it was impressive, spanning courses in Yoga, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Emergency Fire Dispatch, CPR, Critical Care Paramedicine, Seamstressing, Hazmat, Fire One and Two, and ICP. These accomplishments speak not only of his commitment to personal growth but also of his dedication to serving and supporting others in times of need. A cornerstone of his life's work, Big Chair's career with Regional Paramedical Service was marked by his calm presence and the ability to provide comfort in times of crisis. His membership in organizations such as the Free Masons and Alcoholics Anonymous further underscored his commitment to community and personal development. In his military service, Big Chair's legacy was nothing short of monumental. Spanning over 45 years, his career included pivotal roles in the French and Indian War, the American Revolutionary War, and a brief period of service in the late 1790s. Most notably, he served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army from 1775 to 1783, leading American forces to independence from Great Britain—a testament to his strength and leadership. In his personal life, Big Chair found joy in the simple pleasures of sitting still and sniffing, embodying a sense of tranquility and acceptance. Though he possessed the curious talent of never letting you get comfortable while trying to nap, his presence was always a source of warmth and laughter. Big Chair's passing, due to the loving weight of his family, is a poignant reminder of the depth of connection and the enduring bonds we share with those we hold dear. While we mourn his departure, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he led—a life filled with service, strength, and love.
