It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Beverly Kell Johnson, a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Beverly left this world peacefully on October 13, 2026, at the age of 69, surrounded by her loving family in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born on September 4, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas, Beverly was a bright light from an early age. She was the cherished daughter of Vernon Lee Kell and Edith Seay and was raised with strong family values that she carried with her throughout her life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David Johnson, her step-father Aaron Seay, Sr., her dear brothers Aaron Seay Jr. and Pete Kell, and her sisters Brenda Hughes, Dianna Russell, Carla Kell, and Bobby Jo James.
Beverly is survived by a large and loving family that was the centerpiece of her life. She leaves behind her five devoted sons: Zachary Overton of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Jacob Warden of Dyer, Tennessee, Chris Overton of Union City, Tennessee, David Overton of Trenton, Tennessee, and Nick Kell of Kentucky. Her three beloved daughters, Brandi Warden (Scotty) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Sabrina Johnson of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Shawn Overton of Dyersburg, Tennessee, will forever cherish the memories of their mother's unwavering love and guidance.
Beverly's family extended beyond her children to include her brother Larry Kell (Trish) and her sister and caregiver, Rita Cahill of Dyersburg, Tennessee. She was also cared for by Bobbie Haynes of Dyersburg, Tennessee, whose kindness and dedication were deeply appreciated.
The joy of Beverly's life was her six grandchildren: Skye Wiggington, Trinity Kell, Kaiden Warden, Kierston Enochs, Dylan Overton, and Evan Overton, along with a host of great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy and pride.
Throughout her life, Beverly was a hardworking and compassionate woman who found fulfillment in her roles at Tupperware and Honeywell, where she forged many cherished friendships. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated and kind-hearted individual who put the needs of others before her own.
Beverly's family was her greatest treasure, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to nurturing and supporting them. Her love was a guiding force, and her legacy of kindness and selflessness will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
