In loving memory of Beverly K. Vandervort, who graced this world from September 12, 1939, to March 13, 2026. Born in Bloomington, Illinois, Beverly was the cherished daughter of Hugh and Vera Mae Bicknell. With a heart full of warmth and an unwavering devotion to family, Beverly's legacy continues through her grandchildren Christy Valyou, Jennifer Schmidt, and Jordan Woodrum, and her adored great-grandchildren Emerson, Nolan, and Violet Valyou, as well as Conner, Quinn, and Emely Schmidt. Her nurturing spirit also lives on in her surviving siblings, sister Marilyn Long, and brothers Bill and Douglas Bicknell. Beverly was a woman of many talents and passions. She found immense joy in sewing, a skill she mastered with grace, creating heirlooms treasured by her family. Her love for reading transported her to worlds beyond, and her garden was a testament to her patience and the nurturing care she provided all living things in her life. Beverly's love for travel took her on countless adventures, enriching her soul and broadening her horizons. Her heart was always open to her friends, with whom she shared countless cups of tea and laughter, and her pets, especially her late dog, Tara, and her cat, Bow, who were constant companions and a source of joy. Beverly cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, providing them with love, wisdom, and the occasional batch of homemade cookies. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and love, where family gatherings were filled with laughter and the aroma of her delightful cooking. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing her family to celebrate her life in an intimate setting. While we mourn the passing of a remarkable woman, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led, the values she instilled, and the love she spread to those around her. Beverly K.
