Beverly Jean Ward
July 16, 1940 — June 12, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Beverly Jean Ward, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on June 12, 2026. Beverly was born in the quaint town of Holden, Massachusetts, on July 16, 1940, to the late Henry C. and Barbara J. (Baker) Ward. She left this world as she had lived it—surrounded by love and family, at her home, graced by the presence of her beloved children.
Beverly's vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her early years in Holden shaped her into the compassionate, strong woman who became a pillar of warmth and grace within her community. She dedicated much of her life to nurturing others, whether through her work as a waitress at the former Ramada Inn of Auburn, MA, or through her endless volunteer efforts at the Spencer and Charlton Senior Centers.
Family was the cornerstone of Beverly's life. She is lovingly remembered by her children, her son, Donald R. Hey Jr. of Worcester, and her daughter, Pamela Hey of Oxford. Beverly was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and cherished the joys of being a great-grandmother to four precious great-grandchildren. In times of celebration and challenge, her family was her world, and she was their guiding light.
Beverly's warm heart extended beyond her immediate family. Her enduring bond with her siblings was a testament to the love that flourished within the Ward family. She is survived by her brother, Wayne Ward of Cherry Valley, and her sister, Donna Kowszik of Spencer. Beverly is reunited in eternal peace with her parents, her brother Joe C. Ward, and her sisters, Patricia Dolan and Cheryl Ward.
One could often find Beverly enjoying the simple pleasures in life, such as watching the Hallmark Channel, where stories of love and hope mirrored her own outlook on life. Her legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A service to honor Beverly’s life will be held on June 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Worcester County Memorial Park, located at 217 Richards Ave, Paxton, MA. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in tribute to Beverly’s enduring spirit and her wish to make a difference in the lives of others.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home & Cremation, 48 School Street, Webster, MA. For those who wish to share memories or offer condolences, a memorial guestbook is available at www.shaw-majercik.com and on our Facebook page: Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
Beverly Jean Ward leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Her memory is a blessing, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all she touched.
