Beverly Jean (Huff) Weesner

Beverly Jean (Huff) Weesner, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. Born on January 10, 1938, in Elmira, New York, Beverly lived a life full of grace, love, and devotion that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. The daughter of Clifford Vernon and Laura Hartshorn (Tuller) Huff, Bev was raised in a family that valued faith, love, and community. She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, her brother, Charles Huff, her sisters, Ethelyn Scholl and Marilyn Spiegel, her husband of 65 years, Alvin Otis Weesner, and her granddaughter, VaLisha Weesner. Bev and Alvin's love story began at Eastern Bible College in Green Springs, Pennsylvania, culminating in their marriage on June 18, 1960, in Elmira Heights, New York. Beverly is survived by her children, Valerie Dawn (Weesner) Collins of Ohio, and Vance Douglas Weesner, who resides in South Korea. She was the proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Cherise (Weesner) Rebman of California, Vanessa Weesner of Texas, VaRyan Weesner of Texas, Adrian Wakeen of Alaska, Aaron Wakeen of Ohio, and Dane Martinez. And the proud great-grandmother of her only great-granddaughter, Samantha Rebman of California. Bev's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her passion for serving those around her. She was an active member of the International Church of Las Vegas (ICLV) and The Prayer Room of Henderson, Nevada. Alongside her beloved Alvin, she served as a chaplain with MOFM for the city of Las Vegas, touching many lives with her kindness and spiritual guidance. Bev also embraced her role as a pastor's wife, a teacher, and an author, co-writing books with Alvin that reflected their shared devotion to faith. A woman of many talents, Bev was known for her quick wit and infectious laughter. She was a concert and orchestra saxophonist and spent several years traveling the country with Alvin as a truck driver before they retired in Las Vegas. Her love for reading the Bible, solving puzzles, and playing games brought joy to those around her, including her fellow residents at Sundance Inn in Texas, where she spent her last six months. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Sundance Inn of New Braunfels, Texas, for their loving care of Beverly. Special thanks are also offered to her dear friends and "chosen family" in Las Vegas, Katherine Keesler and Larry and Jodi Hammilton, for their unwavering support and care, especially during the difficult period following Alvin's passing. A service to celebrate Beverly's remarkable life will take place on September 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 1900 Veterans Memorial, Boulder City, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Beverly's generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others. Beverly will be remembered for her deep and abiding love for her family, her faith, and her community. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her kindness and grace.
