Beverly J. Fretchel nee Pasika

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly J. Fretchel (née Pasika), a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on September 29, 2026. Born on June 16, 1935, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Beverly was the cherished daughter of Frank and Vera Pasika. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Fretchel, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of 43 years filled with laughter, travel, and countless cribbage games. Beverly is survived by her devoted siblings, Patricia (Gerald) Pokrandt, and her loving children, Michael (Alicia) Fretchel, Lynn (Casey) Rennert, and Brian (Julia) Fretchel. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Benjamin (Amber) Rennert, Amanda Musial, Nicholas (Andrea) Fretchel, Adam, and Joseph (Baily) Fretchel, as well as her step-grandchildren, Christopher Theabo and Danielle Theabo. Beverly was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Hank Musial, Fiona, and William Rennert, who brought immense joy to her life. A devoted member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Beverly dedicated much of her life to serving her community. She was a familiar face at the Ascension Mercy Medical Auxiliary, where she volunteered for 35 years, contributing her time and love to the hospital gift shop. Her passion for flowers and generosity shone through in her organization of the Mercy Medical Geranium Sale, which funded scholarships for nursing students. Beverly's love of reading and her talent for cultivating beautiful gardens were well-known among her neighbors. Her wit and spirit for adventure were exemplified in her fishing excursions with her daughter Lynn, where even a speeding ticket couldn't dampen their spirits. Her infectious humor and dedication to service extended to her volunteer work as a substitute teacher and librarian at Sacred Heart School, as well as her involvement with the Booster Club at Lourdes Academy. A special mention goes to Beverly's dear friend, Ray Hitz, who shared many wonderful meals at Friar Tucks and mornings at the "Dakota St coffee diner". Their friendship was a testament to their shared love of volunteering at Emmanuel UCC. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Aspire Senior Living Memory Care for their exceptional care since March, and to Ascension Mercy Hospital for their compassionate support in Beverly's final days. A service to honor Beverly's life will be held on October 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Fiss & Bills Poklasny, located at 865 S. Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh, WI 54904. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Beverly’s spirit of generosity and care for others. Beverly's family sends their deepest thanks to all who have supported them during this difficult time. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
