Beverly was born on June 4, 1938, in the serene town of Cleveland, Mississippi, to her devoted parents, James and Frances Hunter, who have preceded her in death. Also waiting to welcome Beverly into eternal rest is her beloved sister, Lacey Tadlock and her husband John, who cherished their lifelong bond. Beverly's life was a testament to the power of intellect, curiosity, and grace. A woman of remarkable intelligence, she pursued her passion for science and earned a PhD in Biochemistry, a field where she left an indelible mark as both a biochemist and marine biologist.. Known for her reserved elegance and a wicked sense of humor that delighted those fortunate enough to know her, Beverly was a beacon of wisdom and warmth. She balanced her professional pursuits with a love for gardening at home and a zest for exploring the far corners of the globe. Her garden was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, each plant a testament to her patience and dedication. Beverly's legacy continues through her cherished family, who were her pride and joy. She leaves behind her loving children, Pamela Matthews and Donald Smith Jr. , grandchildren Brian Matthews, Christopher Matthews(Kalesha),Savana Gardner (Covo) ,great grandchildren, Trinity Taylor Payton,Kaydence, Jaxon, and Wyatt who will forever be inspired by her life and love,her devoted sister Frances Hicks and brother James Hunter Jr. Beverly also leaves behind numerous loved nieces and nephews, who will remember her fondly. In Beverly's honor, her family will hold a private celebration of her life at a later date, choosing to reflect on the memories and moments that made her so beloved. While she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
