Beverly Ann Hatfield

Beverly Ann Hatfield, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. Born on November 2, 1946, in Salisbury, Maryland, she was the beloved daughter of Floyd Melton Saxton and Emma Ward Steelman. Beverly's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and faith. She shared a remarkable 61-year marriage with her husband, Rev. James Lonnie Hatfield, whom she married on March 5, 1965. Together, they built a life centered around family, faith, and service. As a pastor's wife for over 20 years, Beverly was a pillar of strength and grace within the Living Water Full Gospel Church community in Harrison, where her warmth and compassion touched countless lives. A proud graduate of Mulvane Public School, Beverly embarked on a fulfilling career at Emerson Electric. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as attending church services, exploring flea markets, and taking road trips. She cherished moments spent listening to gospel music, sipping on coffee, and reading her Bible. Her great-granddaughter, Ava Leigh, held a special place in her heart, and Beverly treasured the time they spent together. Beverly's commitment to family was unwavering. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rev. James Lonnie Hatfield, her two sons, Roger (Kim) Hatfield of Bertram, Texas, and James Lonnie Hatfield, Jr. of Harrison, Arkansas, as well as her daughters, Dawn Denise (Ricky) Johnson of Alpena, Arkansas, and Kimberly Ann (Anthony) Bower of Jasper, Arkansas. She is also remembered with love by her brother, Thomas Saxton of Wichita, Kansas, her seven grandchildren, Jessia Dawn Patterson, Jimmi Marie Owens, Silas James Hatfield, Tanner Jay Crook, Anthony Dalton Bower, Philip Hatfield, and Tina Hatfield, along with a host of great-grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her four sisters, Shirlley, Janie, Sue, and Tina, and her grandson, James Luell. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. In honor of Beverly's memory, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. Beverly’s legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her kindness and compassion. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
