In Loving Memory of Betty Louise Abrams Betty Louise Abrams, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on August 7, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on September 23, 1941, to Eddie and Lula Hickey, Betty spent a life filled with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to those she loved. Betty's life was a testament to the power of love and community. A proud member of the New Zion Baptist Church, her faith was a guiding light that inspired her gracious spirit and compassion for others. Known for her willingness to help everyone, Betty was the steadfast rock upon which her family and friends could always rely. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and her support was a cherished blessing for her family, especially during times of need. Betty was not only a devoted mother to her son, Donnell Abrams, but also a loving sister to Edward Glenn Hickey and Betty Hickey. She is predeceased by her husband, Clemmie Abrams, her parents, Eddie and Lula Hickey, her grandmother Effie Brooks, and her grandfather John Dawson Brooks. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue to shine through her family and all who were fortunate to know her. An excellent seamstress and a fantastic home chef, Betty had a talent for creating beauty and warmth in every stitch and meal she prepared. Her love for shopping was well-known and she had an impeccable taste in home decor. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Carolyn Kyer for the loving care she provided Betty, as well as to Mark Collins, Rachel DeGarmo, Joe and the longtime caring neighbors and amazing friends who enriched Betty's life with their friendship and support. A service to honor and celebrate Betty's life will be held on August 20, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the John P. Franklin Funeral Home, located at 1101 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37404. Betty Louise Abrams will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her love, kindness, and the remarkable mark she left on the world. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
