Betty Lou Stirling ( Roberts )

Betty Lou Stirling, née Roberts, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at the age of 86, after bravely facing the challenges of dementia for several years. Born on April 20, 1940, in Bartlick, Virginia, Betty was the beloved daughter of Charley and Annie Sue Roberts, both of whom predeceased her, along with her dear siblings Dorthy, Ruby, Jack, Faye, Virginia, Midge, and Lucritia. Betty's journey through life was marked by her strong sense of perseverance and commitment. She earned her GED later in life and pursued her passion for real estate. Her dedication and hard work were evident in all her endeavors, and she carried these values into her community engagements. A devoted member of VPOE/Emblem Club and the Red Hat Society, Betty was also a woman of profound faith, holding firm in her belief in Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her vibrant spirit was best reflected in her love for dancing at local events, playing Bunko with her close friends, and embarking on adventures with her cherished family and friends. Betty's legacy continues through her loving children, Dusty, Minnie Stirling, and Steve, Karen Stirling. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren, and her memory will be lovingly carried forward by her ten great-grandchildren. In accordance with Betty's wishes, there will be no formal services. She expressed a heartfelt anticipation of reuniting with her loved ones who have gone before her. The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Betty's memory. Betty Lou Stirling's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and an enduring impact on all who knew her. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
