Betty Jean Davison
April 9, 1946 — June 27, 2026
In the gentle embrace of a summer day, we bid farewell to a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Betty Jean Davison, who passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on April 9, 1946, in Warren, Georgia, Betty was a beacon of love and warmth, whose life was a testament to the power of kindness and resilience.
Betty was the cherished daughter of the late James and Mary Davis, and she shared a deep bond with her predeceased brothers, Jerry, Charlie, and Larry Davis. Their memories now serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to those she leaves behind. Her surviving siblings, Bernestine, Patty, Dorothy Williams, and brother Michael Davis, remember her as a sister who was always ready with a kind word and a listening ear.
Betty's life was a tapestry woven with threads of dedication and service. Her career began as an LPN nurse, where she devoted countless years to caring for others. Her compassion and unwavering commitment to those in need left an indelible mark on her colleagues and patients alike. Later in life, Betty embraced a new role as a bus driver for the Bibb County School System, where her infectious smile and gentle spirit brightened the days of countless children.
Her greatest joys were her children, Lisa Davis and son in law Carl Johnson Sr, Tyrone Davis and daughter in law Codi Davis and Letasha Williams, who carry forward her legacy of love and strength. Betty's heart swelled with pride for her six grandchildren: Chasity Davis, Thishilynn Davis, Carl (CJ)Johnson Jr, Christopher Williams, Jacobi Williams, and Maya Williams, and her four great-grandchildren, who brought endless delight and laughter to her days.
Betty's home was a sanctuary of warmth and love, always open to a host of nieces, nephews, an extended family, and friends, who found solace and joy in her presence. Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and a gentle grace that touched everyone she met.
A service to celebrate Betty Jean Davison's remarkable life will be held on July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, located on St. James Ave, Macon, GA 31202.
