Born on February 17, 1978, in Shoreview, Minnesota, Betty was a beacon of light and love, whose presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Betty was the beloved daughter of Dan and Carol Gilbert, who have both predeceased her. She is survived by her devoted children, Sara and Michael, who were the pride and joy of her life. Betty's legacy of love and kindness continues to live on through them.
A dedicated and accomplished individual, Betty graduated from Shoreview High School and went on to earn her Master's degree in Business. Her career was marked by her integrity and dedication, which were mirrored in her personal life as well. Betty married the love of her life, embracing the journey of marriage with grace and unwavering commitment.
In her spare time, Betty found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid gardener, whose green thumb brought vibrant life to her surroundings. Her kitchen was often filled with the delightful aromas of her cooking, as she loved to prepare meals for her family and friends. Betty had a special talent for crafting, and her handmade creations were treasured gifts that she loved to share with those around her.
A woman of boundless warmth and generosity, Betty was known for her welcoming spirit and the way she brought people together. Her home was a gathering place where laughter was shared and memories were made.
A funeral service celebrating Betty's life will be held on October 10, 2026, at St. Andrews Church, located at 3123 Main Street, Riverside, CA 92501. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Betty are invited to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Betty's memory to the African American Alzheimer's and Wellness Association, located in Westerville, Ohio. This organization was dear to Betty's heart, and contributions will help continue the compassionate work that aligns with her values.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the medical staff and caregivers at Riverside Community Hospital for their exceptional care and support during this difficult time.
