The son of William and Madeline Tucker, Bethornia grew up in a household filled with warmth and love. His sister, Arvinice Sharon Williams, who predeceased him, shared many cherished memories with him, contributing to the strong family bonds that he carried forward throughout his life. Bethornia was blessed with a marriage that spanned 44 wonderful years with his devoted wife, Myra Etheridge Tucker. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and commitment, providing a strong foundation for their family and a beacon of inspiration to all who knew them. An avid deer hunter and a passionate fisherman, Bethornia found joy and solace in nature. His love for the great outdoors was matched only by his love for his family, including his five treasured grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness. A service to celebrate Bethornia's life will be held on September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 129 Sumter St., Summerville, South Carolina. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the extraordinary life he led.
