Beth A Phillips

May 14, 1951 — October 21, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Beth A. Phillips, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Beth departed this life on October 21, 2026, at Indiana Community Hospital, after a courageous battle with illness. She was 75 years old. Born on May 14, 1951, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Mr. Everett A. Shields and Mrs. Gertrude R. Shields, Beth was a guiding light to everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William E. Shields, Clint J. Shields, and Luke N. Shields, as well as her sister, Karen S. (Shields) Knight. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her husband, Dennis Phillips, her cherished daughters Terri and Cindy Phillips, her sister Mary Ellen (Shields) Pfeifer, her brother Tim N. Shields, and her two beloved grandchildren. Beth's life was marked by her dedication to learning, having attended McKeesport Senior High School and continuing as a lifelong self-learner. Her career spanned positions at McKeesport Hospital and later at Sheetz convenience store in Clymer, Pennsylvania. Beth's work was a testament to her commitment and strong work ethic. Beth had a passion for cooking, particularly preparing large, welcoming holiday meals. Her joy for life extended to playing bingo and socializing at her family's summer camp vacation home. Her love for her white cat was so profound that she chose to have it preserved, a testament to the deep connections she formed with those she loved, whether human or animal. Known for her warm heart, Beth had a special way of bringing humor and joy into the lives of those she met. Her smile and charm had the power to uplift anyone's spirit. Her love for bingo was matched only by her love for staying connected with family and friends through her "phone tree." A service to celebrate Beth's life will be held at MaCabe-Roof Funeral Home, located at 565 Franklin Street, Clymer, PA 15728. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Indiana Hospital for their compassionate care during Beth's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Beth's honor to a charity of your choosing, reflecting her generous spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
