July 14, 1946 — April 4, 2026

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Buela, Bernice Dominguez, on April 4, 2026. Born on July 14, 1946, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Bernice was the eldest daughter of Benito and Trina Trevino, and a sister to seven siblings. Bernice's life was a testament to strength, independence, and unwavering love. She was a woman of strong will and perseverance, qualities that she passed on to her four children, who survive her. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, all of which she loved and cared for deeply. Her journey through life was marked by hard work and dedication, traits that were evident during her years as a laborer. But it was in her kitchen where Bernice truly thrived, sharing her love for cooking and baking with others. Her passion for teaching others to cook was a gift she generously shared, turning simple recipes into cherished family traditions. Beyond the kitchen, Bernice found joy in going to garage sales, crafting, and sewing, activities that showcased her creativity and resourcefulness. Bernice embodied dependability, always ready to help when she could. Her door was always open, whether you needed a chat session or a quick burrito. Her stubbornness was a testament to her commitment and determination, qualities that endeared her to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Despite life's challenges, she faced each day with grace and resilience, “one day at a time,” is what she often said. A service celebrating Bernice's life will be held on April 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Reverence Funeral Home. Though she is no longer with us in body, Bernice's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her beloved parents and three brothers, watching over us with the same love and care she showed throughout her life.
