Benjamin Andrew Deaton, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2026. Born on March 4, 1970, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Benjamin's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community. The son of the late Robert Rex Deaton and Mary Hillene Hebert Deaton, Benjamin was raised in a loving home. He inherited his parents' warmth and compassion, qualities that he carried into every aspect of his life. He was predeceased by his cherished son, Morgan Andrew Deaton, whom he held dearly in his heart. Benjamin graduated from Westlake High School in 1989, where his quick wit and warm smile left an indelible mark on his classmates and teachers alike. He pursued higher education with vigor, earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in 1998, followed by a degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 2002. He further specialized at Baylor College of Medicine, where he completed his training as an anesthesiologist in 2006. His professional journey was marked by dedication and excellence. As Managing Partner at Park Plaza Anesthesiology from 2006 to 2014, Benjamin was known for his leadership and commitment to patient care. He later founded Benjamin A Deaton MDPA, where he served as owner from 2016 to 2022. At the time of his passing, he was the Chief of Research at Architex Labs LLC, where his innovative spirit continued to inspire those around him. Benjamin's personal life was rich with love and laughter. He is survived by his beloved children, Addison Anneliese Deaton and Chaney Sinclaire Deaton, who were the light of his life. He leaves behind his siblings, Robert Rex “Roby” Deaton, Jr., Mary Elizabeth Deaton Partin, and Michael Hill Deaton and his wife Tracie, all of whom he cherished deeply. His loving girlfriend, Dana, was a steadfast companion, sharing in his joys and dreams. Known for his humor and ability to make everyone feel valued, Benjamin touched countless lives with his kindness. His home was always open, a place where friends and family gathered to share stories and laughter. His generosity of spirit and welcoming nature created a community that felt more like family. A service to celebrate Benjamin's life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Hixson Funeral Home - Westlake, located at 2409 Westwood Rd, Westlake, LA 70669. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Benjamin's memory to a charity of your choice. Though Benjamin has left us too soon, his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
