Benita was the beloved daughter of Hansley and Roberta Sanders, who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her dear son, Michael Sanders, and her brothers, Tommy, Eugene, David, Robert, and Jimmy. Despite the profound loss of family members throughout her life, Benita remained a pillar of strength and compassion, embodying resilience and love in every fiber of her being. Benita is survived by her devoted children, including her son Matthew, who brought her endless joy and pride. She leaves behind her loving sisters, Margie Cole, Rosie Moore, and Betty Ferguson, who shared countless memories and bonds of sisterhood that were unbreakable. Her legacy continues to flourish through her cherished grandchildren, Kason, Cambree, and Aiden, who were the light of her life and the keepers of her enduring spirit. A woman of many talents and interests, Benita found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for shopping, where she found treasures that reflected her vibrant personality. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and she delighted in cooking for her family, filling their homes with the comforting aroma of her lovingly prepared meals. Her kitchen was a haven of delicious flavors and laughter, where she created lasting memories for those she held dear. Benita's compassion was her most defining quality. She was a loving person who always offered a listening ear to anyone in need. Her family and friends knew her as a steadfast presence, always ready to lend a helping hand or provide comfort in times of trouble. A celebration of Benita's remarkable life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel, located at 2090 East Edgewood Dr., Lakeland, FL.
