BEN LEE
January 4, 1946 — July 7, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Ben Lee, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, who departed from this world on July 7, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on January 4, 1946, in the United States, Ben's journey was marked by unwavering love, dedication, and a spirit that touched all who knew him.
Ben was the beloved son of Ken and Marcy, who instilled in him values that would guide him throughout his life. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Sarah Lee Davis, who departed in June 2025. Together, they built a loving family and shared a bond that served as a testament to their enduring love.
A graduate of Lincoln High School, Ben went on to pursue a career in the trucking industry, where he was known for his tireless work ethic and commitment to his colleagues. He found camaraderie and shared values through his involvement with New Covenant, an organization that was dear to his heart.
Ben's love for the great outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing, a hobby that brought him peace and joy. He often found solace in nature, casting his line with a quiet patience that mirrored his approach to life.
He is survived by his sons, Freddy, Davis, and Jason Lee, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and integrity. Ben's life was further enriched by his four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought immeasurable joy to his days.
On July 6, 2026, Ben experienced a heart attack, which he faced with the courage and dignity that defined him. In his final moments, he expressed his love for his family and friends with the words, "I love you all. I know it's true to be in the presence of God. I'll see y'all again." His last words are a testament to the profound impact he had on those around him, offering comfort and assurance even as he prepared to leave this world.
A service to honor Ben's life will be held on July 9, 2026, at 7:15 PM at WestonMckenzie. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Ben's generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
