November 22, 2000 — March 10, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ben Dover, who left this world tragically and far too soon on March 10, 2026, at the age of 25. Ben was born on November 22, 2000, in the close-knit community of Germany, Pennsylvania. His life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to justice and equality. Ben was the cherished son of Bob and Joe Dover, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in their lives. A devoted husband to Apple Man, Ben's love story began in Tel Aviv where they wed on June 14, 2004. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life for 22 wonderful years, raising their beloved son Meteal Ray, their greatest pride and delight. Ben pursued his passion for gaming, graduating from Hebron University in 2001 with an Associate's Degree. His career was a testament to his creativity and dedication, as he brought joy to many through his work and his ever-present smile. A man of principle and compassion, Ben was an active member of the Black Lives Matter movement for four decades, advocating tirelessly for justice and equality. His commitment to his community extended to his lifelong involvement with the Lez Run-Running Club in Philadelphia, where he supported struggling lesbian men and women, embodying the spirit of inclusivity and love. Known for his beautiful smile and pleasant laugh, Ben's warmth and humor touched everyone he encountered. He had a delightful candor, always sharing his thoughts and feelings with sincerity, whether it was about the mundane or the profound. His chronic caffeine addiction was a charming quirk, one of many that endeared him to friends and family alike. Ben was predeceased by his dear sister, Jill Dover, and his loyal dog, Micah Kolb, who undoubtedly greeted him with open arms and wagging tails on the other side. He leaves behind his grieving parents, Bob and Joe Dover, his devoted wife Apple, and their precious son Meteal, who will carry forward the legacy of love and strength that Ben instilled in them. A service to honor Ben's life will be held on [Service Date] at 13:15 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, located at 416 Church St, Honesdale, PA 18431. The family extends a special message of gratitude, albeit with a heavy heart, acknowledging the circumstances of his passing with dignity. In this time of mourning, we find solace in the love and memories Ben gifted us. Though he has departed from this world, his spirit remains in the hearts of all who knew him. May we all strive to honor his memory by living with the same passion and love that he so generously shared with us all. Rest in peace, dear Ben. You are forever cherished and missed beyond measure.
