March 2, 1950 — July 7, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that the family of Belinda Kennedy announces her peaceful passing on July 7, 2026, at the age of 76. Belinda, a cherished wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother, and beloved sister, left this world surrounded by the love of her family, having graced the lives of many with her kindness and compassion. Born on March 2, 1950, in Augusta, Georgia, Belinda was the daughter of a community she cherished deeply. She was a proud graduate of T.W. Josey High School, class of 1968. Her life was a testament to the values she learned growing up in Augusta, where she was baptized and nurtured in faith at Williams Memorial CME Church. Belinda shared 17 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Wilson Kennedy. Their journey together was one of mutual respect, love, and unwavering support. Belinda's heart was full of pride and joy for her son, Christopher Scott, who was her light and legacy. She rejoiced in the laughter and smiles of her two grandchildren, Amarion and Aiden Scott, who brought immense joy to her days. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Irvin Johnson, Tommy Mosley Sr. and his wife Diann, and her sister Gail Mosley. Her family circle further extends to her cherished nephews and nieces: Justan Mosley Sr., Dana Mosley, Jordan Mosley, Sean Mosley and his wife Wilma, Tommy Mosley Jr., Darryl Mosley and his wife Mallory, Shekina Wooten and her husband Irvin, and Sharelle Mosley-Taylor and her husband Dimitri. Belinda leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven together with her many cousins, great-nieces, and nephews who will forever hold her in their hearts. Belinda was known for her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and infectious warmth. Her life was a testament to the power of love and family, and she found great solace in the words, "Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love." - Lamentations 3:32. A service to honor and celebrate Belinda's life will be held on July 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Jefferson Funeral, located at 130 McIntosh Street, Lynchburg, SC 29080. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and find comfort in one another. In memory of Belinda, her siblings Tommy and Gail have lovingly shared these words, capturing the essence of their bond: "Of all the special gifts in life, however great or small, to have you as my sister was the greatest gift of all. May the winds of love blow softly and whisper in your ear, how much we love and miss you and wish that you were here. Deep in our hearts, your life is kept to love and cherish, not to forget. No more tomorrows we can share but yesterdays are always there. ~ forever in our hearts ~" The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Belinda's memory to a charity of choice, reflecting her lifelong dedication to compassion and community. Belinda Kennedy's legacy is one of love, strength, and an enduring spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, as a beacon of love and grace.
