Celebrating the Life & Legacy of Belinda Chatman Sunrise: October 2, 1953 — Sunset: July 22, 2026 With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Belinda Chatman, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister, and proud U.S. Army veteran, who entered eternal rest on July 22, 2026. Belinda now finds peace in the arms of her beloved husband, Robert Chatman, who predeceased her. Born on October 2, 1953, Belinda lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a deep commitment to service. Her journey as a nurse in the United States Army was a testament to her dedication, as she lovingly cared for others with a healing touch and profound compassion. In her life, she embodied grace and resilience, touching countless lives with her kindness and strength. Belinda's greatest joy and achievement was her family, whom she cherished above all else. As a devoted mother, she dedicated herself to the well-being and happiness of her sons, ensuring they felt protected and deeply loved. Her nurturing spirit and enduring love will forever be remembered by her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and grace that will continue to inspire her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by her sons and daughters-in-law: Tory (Angela) Chatman, Cedric Chatman, and Brandon (Jacqueline) Chatman. She was a proud grandmother to six beloved grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandmother to one great-grandson, all of whom brought immense joy and light into her life. Belinda also leaves behind her sister Carolyn, along with four other loving sisters and four brothers, who will carry forward her love and strength. Her extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends, will continue to honor her legacy of love and compassion. In her final days, Belinda's faith and family remained her guiding lights. Her son Brandon faithfully stood by her side, while Jacqueline joined them daily via FaceTime, ensuring she was surrounded by love. Carolyn's daily check-ins with Brandon provided strength and support to the family during this time. A private service will be held to honor the remarkable life and legacy of Belinda Chatman. The arrangements are entrusted to Scott Funeral Home in Tacoma, "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gates." — Proverbs 31:31 Belinda's legacy of love, dedication, and service will forever be etched in our hearts. Her life was a testament to the power of love, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
