Born on May 6, 1963, in Miami, Florida, Belene was the cherished daughter of Jessie and Jacausee Brutus and the caring sister to her late brother, Jamsz. Her gentle spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though life did not lead Belene down traditional paths of education or career, she found fulfillment through her unwavering dedication to her family and community. She was the proud and loving mother to Brenda Brutus, Omari Brutus, Jackson Rouzard, and Edwin Rouzard, and the doting grandmother to one grandchild. Belene's home was always filled with love, laughter, and the delightful aroma of her cooking—a testament to her passion for bringing joy and comfort to those she loved. Belene was also a pillar of strength within her church community. As a dedicated member of New Birth Church, she spent countless hours volunteering and lending a helping hand. Her presence was a source of light and warmth, as she always made it her mission to care for everyone around her. Her genuine kindness and infectious humor brightened the lives of all who crossed her path. A celebration of Belene's life will take place on November 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at New Birth Church, located at 2300 NW 135th Street, Miami, FL 33167. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
