Celebrating the Life of David Beezalue Hannah It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Beezalue Hannah, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully after a courageous battle, with his family by his side. David was born in Beckley, West Virginia, to the late Beezalue June Hannah and Irene Dobbs, and from a young age, he demonstrated the resilience and strength that would define his life. David was a proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1970. Following his education, he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, earning the respect and admiration of his peers for his dedication and sense of duty. David carried the values of honor and bravery into every aspect of his life, touching the lives of all who knew him. A passionate athlete, David was well-known for his love of softball. He was an active participant in several leagues across West Virginia and Ohio, where he not only showcased his talent but also forged lasting friendships. His teammates remember him as a spirited player whose enthusiasm and sportsmanship were unmatched. David was predeceased by his cherished family members: Beezalue June Hannah, Irene Hannah, Lewis Brent Hannah, and Jamie Hannah. Though they are no longer with us, their memories live on through the stories and love that David shared. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of David's life on September 18, 2026, at 1:30 PM. A service will be held at the Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society, located at 5464 North High St, Columbus, Ohio 43214. It will be a time to honor David’s legacy, celebrate his achievements, and share in the warmth and love he gave so freely. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, surgeons, nurses, and his personal physician for their exceptional care and support during David's illness. Their compassion and dedication made a meaningful difference to David and his loved ones. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lanark Baptist Church, an organization close to David's heart. This gesture will continue his spirit of giving and community support. David's life was marked by courage, kindness, and a profound love for those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the joy and light he brought into the world.
