Beatrice Lee Ellis

Beatrice "Bea" Lee Ellis, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at Americana Seniors of Davison, on August 2, 2026, after a long but courageous battle with dementia. Honoring Bea's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Heritage Baptist Church 5199 E. Hill Rd, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the services at the church. Born on February 6, 1955, in Lenoir, North Carolina, Bea was the cherished daughter of the late Dean and Lena (Phillips) Beasley. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and devotion to family and faith. On June 10, 1972, Bea married the love of her life, Gary Ellis, at the Flint Baptist Temple, while he was on leave from Germany with the U.S. Army. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and laughter, welcoming four sons, Brandon, Joshua (married to Heather), Zechariah (married to Sara), and Cooper. Bea's legacy of love extends to her grandchildren, Julia (married to Chris), Adrianna (married to Tyler), Christopher, Lincoln, Ivy, Amelia, and Matilda, and her two great-grandchildren. Bea is also survived by her devoted sisters, Barbara (married to Bill Bouck) and Beverly (married to Danny Mitchell), along with her beloved nieces and nephew, who were not just family but dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Lena, whose memories she cherished and honored throughout her life. Bea possessed a remarkable work ethic and held various roles throughout her career. She was known for her service as both lunch lady and school bus driver for Grand Blanc Schools, and a bus driver for Brandon Schools. Bea also ran a gold purchasing store and embraced countless other endeavors with enthusiasm and dedication. Her life was rich with the joy of crafting; Bea was an enthusiastic quilter, and rug maker. She found happiness in watching Hallmark movies, and was deeply involved in her church community. A longtime member of Flint Baptist Temple, Bea treasured the moments spent in fellowship with her family. Later in life, she found a spiritual home at The River Church, where her faith continued to flourish. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Elaine Potter for her unwavering friendship, care, and love shown to Bea and the family during these challenging years. Elaine's presence was a blessing that brought comfort and strength to Bea and her loved ones. In honor of Bea's generous spirit, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The River Church. Bea Ellis's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, compassion, and grace. Her memory will be forever cherished by those who were fortunate to know and love her.
