Bart Lone Davey
March 2, 1960 — March 17, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bart Lone Davey, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on March 17, 2026, at the age of 66. Bart passed away peacefully in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, after a long battle with declining health, surrounded by the love of his wife and son.
Bart was born on March 2, 1960, in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado, to his cherished parents, Colin Igor Davey and Laura Jane Davey (Moore). He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved brother Boyd Davey, and numerous uncles, aunts, and extended family members. The loss of these family members was profound, yet Bart carried their memories with him, honoring them through his own life.
Bart's life was a testament to resilience and passion. In 2018, he married the love of his life, Miki Hernandez, with whom he shared eight wonderful years. Together, they crafted a life full of love, laughter, and mutual support. Bart was also a devoted father to his sons, Brogan and Foster, conceived with Lauri Stokes. He welcomed his daughter-in-law, Natayla (Wallet), and was overjoyed to become a grandfather to the light of his life, his granddaughter Zendaya. His nephew Dylan and family friends Judith Dalsky and Mike Flannery, along with many others in the recovery community, mourn his passing but celebrate his life.
Bart's zest for life was evident in his love for movement—whether he was on a skateboard, skates, a bicycle, or a motorcycle, Bart embraced the thrill of motion with a passion that was truly infectious. He had an uncanny ability to find joy in the simplest of activities, often mounting wheels on various items around his home just to explore new ways to move.
Professionally, Bart dedicated a significant portion of his life to helping others, working in the field of substance abuse treatment. His unwavering commitment to assisting those struggling with addiction was not just a career but a calling. For 39 years, Bart was deeply involved in the recovery community, offering service and support that touched countless lives. His contributions to this community were invaluable, and his legacy will endure in the hearts of those he helped along their journeys.
Known for his quick wit, unique sense of humor, and love for his fellow humans, Bart was often described as a "character" by those who knew him best. He had an extraordinary ability to make others smile and a heart that was always open to those in need.
In accordance with Bart's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life and legacy. While the ceremony is private, the family invites those who knew and loved Bart to remember him in their own special ways, celebrating the laughter, joy, and kindness he brought into the world.
Bart Lone Davey leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service. His spirit will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the countless individuals he touched throughout his remarkable life.
