Barry was the beloved son of Barry Olin Stephens Sr. and the late Elizabeth Ann Fletcher. His mother, Elizabeth, predeceased him, and we find solace in the thought that they are now reunited. Barry was the father of six children: Recenia De'l (Christopher), Ashia Renae, Daytreonia Nicole, Jordan Malik, Baron Olin, and Jamal Dashawn Stephens. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren.
His father, Barry Olin Stephens Sr., alongside his stepmother, Ila Christine, remain to honor his memory, with Barry's sister, Veronica (Glenn) Wilburn, who stood by him throughout his life. His grandmother, Esther Mae Johnson, also survives him, providing a generational bridge of wisdom and love.
Barry was a man of many passions. An avid gamer, he found excitement and camaraderie in the digital worlds he explored. His love of music and movies was infectious, often drawing family and friends into lively discussions and shared experiences. These hobbies were more than pastimes; they were expressions of his vibrant spirit and his appreciation for the stories that connect us all.
Though Barry's departure was sudden, his impact on those around him was profound. Known for his humor, kindness, and unwavering support. His presence will be deeply missed, yet his memory will forever remain a guiding light in the lives of those he touched.
A private funeral ceremony will be held at Greater Bibleway Missionary, 503 School St, Mount Pleasant, TX, to honor Barry's life, allowing family and close friends to celebrate his journey in an intimate setting. While the funeral remains private, the family appreciates the outpouring of love and support from all who have reached out during this difficult time.
In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Barry's name to a charity of choice that reflects his love for music and gaming, ensuring that his passions continue to inspire and bring joy to others as they did to him.
Barry Olin Stephens Jr. will be remembered not only for the love he gave but for the love he inspired. As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, we hold onto the memories and the laughter, the strength and the kindness that he shared so freely. Rest in peace, dear Barry.
