February 10, 1959 — September 19, 2026

Barry Mack, affectionately known as "Babo," was born on February 10, 1959, in the small town of Farmerville, Louisiana. His life was a testament to resilience and kindness, qualities that he shared with anyone fortunate enough to know him. On the evening of September 19, 2026, Barry passed away due to complications during surgery after bravely battling ongoing illnesses and surviving both a heart attack and a stroke. Barry was the beloved son of Amy and Porter Mack, who instilled in him the values of perseverance and compassion. These values guided him through his 30-year career as a CDL driver, a profession he took great pride in. Known for his encouraging words and wisdom during times of distress, Barry's loving and understanding nature touched countless lives. Outside of his work, Barry had a passion for night fishing and a talent for grilling and smoking meals, which he delighted in sharing with his family. Weekends at the Mack household were often filled with laughter and the smell of delicious food, as Barry hosted fish fries and family gatherings. His warmth and hospitality were the glue that held his family close. Barry's legacy is carried on by his children, Chasiney, Tasha, Cornelius, and Markies, as well as his cherished grandchildren: CJ, Markies Jr., Jhene, Niveah, and Ma'zion. He is also survived by his siblings, Jorge and Wanda Mack, who remember him as a steadfast brother and confidant. While Barry's family is mourning his loss, they find comfort in the memories of his beautiful soul and the love he shared. They are immensely grateful to everyone who has reached out with calls, texts, or visits to show their respects. The family also wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the Parkland medical and surgical team for their dedicated efforts and support. In honor of Barry's giving nature, donations can be made to a charity of choice, reflecting his generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others. Barry's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, allowing his family to gather and honor the man who gave them so much love and wisdom. His memory will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Barry Mack welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
