Barbra Delores Molnar

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Barbra Delores Molnar, aged 92, at her cherished home in Moyock, North Carolina, on June 8, 2026. Born on February 5, 1934, Barbra was a beacon of love, resilience, and strength to all who knew her. Barbra was the beloved daughter of the late Oyal Vaden and Ruby Bridger Parron, who instilled in her the values of kindness and perseverance. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Paul George Molnar, her treasured daughter Shelby Wilson, and her dear grandson, Adam Johnson. Their memories lived on vividly in her heart, and she often spoke of them with fondness and love. Barbra's family was her greatest joy and her proudest achievement. She leaves behind her loving children: James (Jimmy) Hill, Janet Salmon and her husband, Frank, Lois Walton, and Richard Hargrove with his wife, Theresa. Barbra's family was extended by love to include her son from another mother, John Gunnells. She was the cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and the doting great-grandmother to sixteen great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Barbra was a dedicated and hardworking operator for C&P Telephone, where she served for over 25 years until her retirement. Her work ethic and dedication were admired by her colleagues and served as an inspiration to her family. She carried the same dedication into her family life, where her gentle guidance and unwavering support left a lasting impact. Barbra's warmth extended beyond her family, as she was known for her generosity and her ability to make anyone feel welcome. Her home was often filled with laughter, the aroma of her famous baked goods, and the open arms she so willingly offered to anyone in need of a friend. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. As we remember Barbra, we celebrate an extraordinary life defined by love, family, and service. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind, a reminder of the unconditional love she shared and the countless lives she touched. A private family service will be held to honor Barbra's life and her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Barbra's memory to a charity close to her heart. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy will endure through the love she gave and the lives she enriched. May Barbra Delores Molnar rest in eternal peace, reunited with those she loved and missed dearly, her spirit free to soar among the stars.
