Barbra was born on January 6, 1951, in Dixon, Illinois, to John and Mary Johnston. She was 75 years old. Barbra was a beacon of compassion and strength, qualities that were evident throughout her life and career. She dedicated 36 years of her life as a registered nurse, a calling she embraced with unmatched dedication and love. Her genuine passion for helping others left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered, both professionally and personally. In 1976, Barbra married the love of her life, Jerry Barton, with whom she shared 50 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a family that became her pride and joy. Barbra's children, Brian Barton and Carina Barton, remember their mother as a nurturing and inspiring presence, who encouraged them to pursue their dreams with unwavering support. Barbra's legacy is carried forward by her cherished grandchildren: Cheyenne Barton, Savannah Barton, Zachary Billings, Jacob Billings, and Ryan Billings. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life. Her love for her family was boundless, and she delighted in every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever. In addition to her devotion to her family and career, Barbra was a remarkable friend to many. Her kindness, humor, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her, and her presence will be profoundly missed by everyone fortunate enough to have called her a friend. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Barbra's life, in accordance with her family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to Barbra's heart, continuing her legacy of compassion and care for others. Barbra Barton will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her nurturing spirit, and her boundless love. As we celebrate her life, we hold on to the memories and lessons she imparted, knowing that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Rest in peace, dear Barbra.
